01. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the BTC Wallet iOS application and this website, provided under the name Btc Wallet & Tokens (“we”, “us”). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

You must be legally able to agree to these terms and use the app in accordance with laws that apply to you. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

02. What the wallet does

BTC Wallet provides software to create or import Bitcoin wallets, view balances and activity, and prepare, sign and broadcast Bitcoin transactions. It also provides market information and related tools. The app is currently in development; availability and features may change before release.

BTC Wallet is a self-custody wallet. We do not hold your Bitcoin, control your private keys, execute trades on your behalf, or operate the Bitcoin network. Market information is for reference and is not investment, tax or financial advice.

03. Your keys & responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your device, recovery phrase, passphrase and any backups secure. Anyone who obtains your recovery phrase may be able to spend your Bitcoin. We cannot recover a lost phrase, reset your wallet keys, or restore access to funds if you lose the information needed to access them.

Before sending, check the full recipient address, amount, network and fee. Use only assets and networks supported by the app. Bitcoin testnet assets are for testing and are separate from mainnet Bitcoin.

04. Transactions & fees

Broadcasting a signed transaction sends it to independent network participants. Confirmation times, acceptance and network availability are outside our control. Once confirmed, a Bitcoin transaction generally cannot be reversed; a refund requires a new payment from the recipient.

Network fees go to Bitcoin miners, not to us. Fee estimates, balances, fiat conversions and price data can be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. Cached data may not show the latest network state. An alert is a convenience, not a promise of a timely notification or a guarantee of a particular price.

05. Acceptable use

Use the app and website lawfully. Do not use them for fraud, theft or unauthorized access, to compromise another person’s wallet, or to attack or disrupt the software or its service providers. You are responsible for any reporting or tax obligations that apply to your transactions.

06. Third-party services

The app relies on independent services for blockchain data, transaction broadcasting and market information. Their availability, rules and privacy practices are outside our control. Links and market listings do not mean that we endorse an asset, exchange or service.

Apple’s applicable terms also govern your download and use of the app through its services. Apple is not a party to these terms and does not provide BTC Wallet support.

07. Availability & risk

Bitcoin values can change substantially. Software, device compromise, network issues, incorrect addresses or loss of keys can result in loss of funds. The app is in development and has not completed an independent security audit.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free information or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the value or availability of any digital asset.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by your disclosure or loss of keys, incorrect payment instructions, independent network or service failures, or market movements. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights.

08. Updates & ending use

We may update the software, website and these terms. The date at the top identifies this version. We will provide notice of material changes where required. You may stop using the app at any time. Before removing wallet data, ensure you have the recovery information needed to access your Bitcoin elsewhere.

Changes to or discontinuation of this software do not give us control over your Bitcoin. Your ability to access it depends on your keys and compatible software.
